  • Mr. Foster often serves in a technical consulting capacity in matters dealing with failures, explosions, energy, chemical plant, and related heavy industrial accidents. He is a founder, and a director of ChemTech and serves as President and Chief Executive Officer.

Koppers Company, Inc., Pittsburgh PA

  • While a senior manager at Koppers, Mr. Foster pioneered the use of "Fault Tree Analysis", a high tech, computerized, method of analyzing and minimizing chemical spill and accidental discharge events from chemical plants. Examples of the application of this technology were for minimizing dust explosions from Coal Tar Pitch, and accidental spills of Toluenediisocyanate (TDI) into a Chicago neighborhood and major freeway bordering a large chemical plant.
