ChemTech was retained
to investigate the claim of a major oil company against a leading
industrial boiler manufacturer that the combustion design of a
boiler inherited via a hostile takeover was inadequate to comply
with
current air emission regulations.
ChemTech reviewed
the plaintiff's claims, inspected the facilities in question,
as well as other comparable facilities, advised the defendants
attorney of our findings, and testified to these matters at depositions
and the trial.
ChemTech reviewed
all relevant case information including the site, similar combustion
designs, large amounts of combustion test data, State air pollution
control agency recommendations, and past and present State and
Local air basin regulatory history. We also prepared opinions
on technical issues of fact and commented on the allegations.
Prepared expert testimony.
